Pastor Paris & Vicki Pasch

Pastor Paris and Vicki met as Highschool sweethearts and eventually married in 1975.  They’ve lived in the Hastings community all their lives and have raised two adult children and 3 grandsons all whom love Jesus Christ.  Paris and Vicki are partners in business and ministry along with being best friends.

By 2018, Paris and Vicki had been part of 3 church plants, one of which was an awesome church called Christ’s Family Church that flourished and grew to over 500 in attendance on a weekend.  God had more for them and they found themselves in the wonderful place of planting another local church work.  After nearly four decades in ministry they feel God has refreshed their original calling to reach their community over their whole life with everything they have at their disposal.  Their constant goal is to reveal who God truly is to those who are often disappointed by organized religion.

Today Pastor Paris proudly serves

The Journey Church as The Founding pastor.

Pastor Ben & Luann
Tims

My family moved to Hastings, MN in the early 1960’s when I was a young boy.  From that time on, I have lived and worked here for the majority of my life.

I married the love of my life, Luann, in 1980.  Together, we serve our church in the prayer team ministry.  I consider her to be God’s gift to me, and a wonderful partner in the ministry.  We have two adult children and three precious grandchildren.   Although our children do not live in Hastings, Luann and I call this home.

I have served the Lord in numerous ways over many years, including men’s ministry, prayer ministry, jail ministry, Sunday School teacher, worship ministry, and other speaking engagements.  In 2016, I became a licensed minister and was ordained in 2018.

My desire is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible.  I want others to know, love and serve the same Jesus as I do.  Bottom line, I love Jesus and I love people!

I am honored to be able to minister alongside of Pastor Paris Pasch.  He is a blessing in my life as my Pastor and friend.

Luann and I are so grateful and blessed to be a part of The Journey Church family, serving as a teaching pastor and prayer ministers.

Brannen Neumeister-1x1.jpg

Pastor Brannen Neumeister

I grew up in a church-going home in Fridley MN.  Although I accepted the truth claims about Christianity I didn’t care much for church. I had no desire to go to a Christian college, let alone go into ministry but God had different plans.  After reading through the Bible myself for the first time I became convicted over the lack of spiritual transformation in my life and through repentance and faith was born again as God moved that head knowledge to my heart and will.

I felt led to study theology at Moody Bible Institute where I graduated from in 2017.  After graduation I entered the restoration industry where I assisted families by restoring their personal possessions after water or fire damage to their homes.  All the while God provided opportunities for me to serve the church in various ways whether preaching while the pastor was on vacation or teaching Sunday school.  The last couple years God has reiterated his call for me to go into full time ministry and I am thankful to have that opportunity now, especially with such a loving body of believers at The Journey Church. My desire is for all people to come to know the fullness of the love God has for them through Jesus Christ.

Administrative
Manager
Jamie Schmidt

I grew up as a pastor’s kid, so the church has always been an integral part of my life. A Minnesota native, I’ve lived in many areas across the state, and for nearly 20 years now Hastings has been home—a beautiful city I’ve grown to love deeply. I am married to my wonderful husband, Jerry, and we have two amazing children, Trae and Elise. My family and I have been attending The Journey Church for about five years and have had the joy of serving alongside Pastor Paris and Vicki for many years. Prior to joining the team here, my professional background was in Human Resources. I am truly excited and grateful to serve this congregation as the Administrative Manager and most importantly see all that God has in store for The Journey Church.

Worship Leaders
Rob and Mary Pasch

Rob and Mary Pasch have served as worship leaders alongside Pastor Paris’s ministries since 1993 and have been part of The Journey Church since its inception. Their heart for worship is helping people experience a deeper connection with God through music that honors Him. Rather than performing, they see their role as leading the congregation into authentic worship that supports the message of God’s Word. They are grateful to serve alongside an incredible team of talented, creative, and caring members who love God, love people, and are committed to the ministry.

Rob accepted Christ at age 15, the same year he learned to play guitar and felt God give him his very first song to write — the beginning of a lifelong passion for worship ministry and songwriting. Mary accepted Christ at 13 and developed her love for music through choir, flute, and keyboard. The two first shared music together at a church retreat as high school seniors and have been making music together ever since.

Married for nearly 46 years, Rob and Mary are blessed with their Son William and their daughter Madeline, her husband Cameron, and granddaughter Ivy. Together, they enjoy cooking, traveling up North to hike with family, horseback riding, baking, and creating meaningful moments with loved ones. Above all, their desire is to lead others into a genuine worship experience with the Lord through humility, excellence, and music that brings glory to God.

Trustees
Tony Dachel, John McNamara & Jerry Schmidt

Tony Dachel has been a member of The Journey Church for six years and has served as a Trustee for the past four years. He and his wife, Linda, have been married for 50 years and are blessed with three children and three grandchildren. Tony enjoys bike riding, music, reading, working in the garage and yard, and spending time with his family. As a Trustee, he considers it an honor to serve alongside such a wonderful team of believers and is grateful for the opportunity to support and serve the church family.

John McNamara has been part of The Journey Church since its inception and has served as a Trustee for the past six years. He and his wife, Elia, have been married for 15 years and attend church together with their daughter, Allie. John is also the proud father of four adult children and considers being a dad one of his greatest joys. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, playing card and board games, and spending time with people. As a Trustee, John is committed to being a faithful steward of what God has entrusted to the church and values serving as part of the Journey team. He believes strong leadership begins with seeking God’s wisdom and guidance and is strengthened when people come together with different experiences and perspectives to pursue God’s will.

Jerry Schmidt has been part of The Journey Church since its very first gathering and has served as a Trustee for the past four years. He and his wife, Jamie, have been married for 16 years and have two children, Trae and Elise. Jerry enjoys boating, hunting, exercising, and spending time outdoors. A fun fact about him is that he earned a bachelor’s degree in German and spent a year living in Munich during college. As a Trustee, Jerry considers it a privilege to help strengthen and support the ministry of the church, ensuring that its resources are used in ways that honor God and draw people closer to Christ. He believes wholeheartedly our mission is real, and it’s the most important thing we can do while here in this life. Having been involved in several congregations, The Journey Church stands out as something special. The heart and purpose are genuine, and the love for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is real.
